This dispenser contains emergency kits with Narcan, a nasal spray medication that can help save the life of someone overdosing on opioid drugs.

Syracuse, N.Y. – A life-saving medication that reverses opioid overdoses will be available for free in dispensers Onondaga County plans to install on the walls of some public libraries and other locations where overdoses may occur.

The dispensers, known as “NaloxBoxes,” are designed to make Narcan, also known as naloxone, readily available to bystanders when they see someone overdosing.
