A South Carolina-based pharmaceutical company recalled 2.1 million doses of medicine and medical equipment because of a “lack of assurance of sterility,” according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The company, Nephron Sterile Compounding Center, is recalling 2,158,351 products, including syringes and bags.
Here are some of the other products listed in the recall, according to WIS News:
Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation CEO and owner Lou Kennedy said in a statement that the company is “cooperating” with the FDA on the recalled products.
“While there has been no impact to patient safety, and there is no evidence of contamination, Nephron has decided in the interest of patients to proceed with this recall process,” Kennedy said.
